既然提到榜单,那么HP在CD天碟榜里面是这么写的.而这还仅仅说的是44/16的普通CD.
I have now junked that list almost entirely. The compact discs of today (not to mention the best decoding equipment in playback decks and digital-to-analogue converters) have begun to come of age, revealing the possibilities in a medium we all decried because of the way it sounded (which, actually, was amusical beyond the describing) in its earliest iterations. I am certainly not arguing that today's best digital discs (in this the twilight of the 44/16 system) equal the finest analogue recordings in terms of harmonic richness, top octave air and bloom, or in the reproduction of nuance, both dynamic and ambient, but then the CDs herein do get certain things right that LP reproduction never has (speed stability, for starters, low-frequency transients, for seconds, et al.) and may be seen, in the immortal American jurisprudential phrase, 'separate but equal' and if not entirely equal, then separate views of a singular reality as seen from parallel universes.
我相信就目前的CD回放技术,HP的观点也是各有千秋的.
