The Studio 9 is a floor standing three way bass reflex system. Cabinet construction is of balanced veneer high density particle board with a medium density fiber board front baffle. Three circumferential braces strengthen the cabinet at critical points reducing coloration.
The two 165mm bass/mid drive units consist of a rigid die cast magnesium chassis with a low distortion magnet system. The polypropylene diaphragm with a natural rubber surround results in exceptional bass performance with a natural open mid band. Both units are active and crossover at 2.5 KHz to the 25mm soft dome tweeter. This has a vented voice coil former with ferrofluid cooling damping. A rear chamber loading lowers the resonance of the unit.
The crossover network is hardwired directly to the input terminals and utilizes air cored inductors with polypropylene capacitors. All internal wiring is of the highest quality oxygen free cabling soldered directly to the drive units.
