This concert was recorded in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire in April 1982 and was of great artistic and historical interest. It was the first and arguably the last time in the history of Soviet music that three large pieces by Schnittke, Denisov and Gubaidulina, the informal leaders of Soviet avant-garde were performed during one night.
