SCAN-SPEAK 6600

I've got another set of 6600's here for testing and I wanted to see what's happening with the current batches. As I mentioned previously, there was some variance from the 2006 version to the 2007 version when they went out of stock for a while with some supply issues. The news with the current batch is that they have been brought back closer to the original '06 measurements. Mostly, the sensitivity is back up to around 93dB. What I have in my hands here is looking pretty damn good. Smooth, extended and low distortion. Also, I might mention that they are now black rather than the dark gun-metal gray they used to be. They are also 0.3mm wider in diameter - I know this because the tweeter's didn't fit in my test baffle insert this time around. Scan-Speak's faceplate vendor has obviously been changed around a bit and I hope they've finally found one they can stick with.
