A well built and 'handsome' Italian speaker. I upgraded from Concerto and the first impression in my room is disappointed. The midrange is harsh and the treble is not well extended, poorer than my old Concerto, however the bass is good for its size.

I ran in it for the first 50 hrs but the midrange is still so so. I almost decided to sell it but the price is bad. And I decided to run in it again for 8 hours a day for another 200 hours at very high volume. Finally, it started to sound good!

Finally, I couple it with Gryphon Callisto 2100. When the music on, I finally hear it sing in my living room.

GPH is a good speaker, however it need serious run-in and amp matching is very important.

I compared it playing with over 10 cds repeatly with the JM Lab 707 speaker. To summarize it, JM Lab is like a glass of sugar water (very bright with strong emphasis in high freq.) The Piano Home is like a glass of pure water - excellent transparency and sound stage. Songs playing from it doesn't make you tire easily. You can also catch more details from each song.

However, if you are into Rock and heavy metal - this is not the choice. Play Norah Jones' blue or Jazz or classical and it really flys. Pop vocal is also very comfortable on ears. Also, you can turn on the volume really really loud without losing details - this a very important point about this speaker because of the resanance control is very very good. Only a few expensive speaker can do that well.

I do believe the Utopia line of JM lab could be better but may just a nose or so.

Also, I find the review below very accurately describe the charateristic of this speaker.
还有以上这段,请大家帮忙.
