音源: 目前用ACCUPHASE DP78, 在等MARK 31.5+30.6到位;
前级: FM255 MK2 或KONDO M1000 MK2; 已经OK;

WESTLAKE的音箱线解释

"WI" wiring interfaces are standard single pair (+/-) cable assemblies. "BWI” wiring interfaces are
double pair assemblies for bi-wire applications (two +and two - connectors at the speaker side and a single +/- at the amplifier end).  

Prices for speaker cables are for EACH Assy: two WI or BWI cable assemblies are required for stereo applications.  Four WI cable assemblies are required for passive bi-amplification of a stereo pair.  Standard termination for speaker cable assemblies is gold spade lugs at both ends (amp and speaker). Other terminations are available by special order.

P.E. Bus termination refers to the electromechanical termination of the 16 gauge 3rd wire known as the "P.E. BusTM " in the speaker cable assemblies.

"WI" assemblies have two terminations, one at the Amp end, one at the Speaker end. Both are banana plugs with clip and spade converters, unless ordered otherwise. (I.E. spades at speaker end for BBSM and Reference Series). "BWI" assemblies have three P.E. wire terminations; one at Amp end and one at each leg of the Speaker ends. Termination or E Term refers to an electrical termination network that connects to the signal conductors (+/-) of the cable assembly at the Amp and Speaker ends of the cable. It may be ordered in 2 or 3 wire and 3 wire shielded versions. Although the network helps to control "P.E. distortion" it doesn't eliminate the need for the 3rd wire for maximum P.E. protection.  The networks consume a small amount of amplifier power.  Highly Recommended! P.E. and Shielding wire are not part of strand counts.

P.E线的解释

该线用来连接功放的接地端和音箱的P.E接线柱,以减少P.E噪声。我个人认为与电磁场理论中屏蔽网相类似的原理。

P.E专用线只有双线分音/三线分音的喇叭线版本中提供。普通喇叭线没有。P.E会消耗功放的部份电力(POWER,我理解为电力而不是输出功率)。

哪就有一个问题:如果功放没有提供接地端,PE线该怎么连接?我明天做做功课看能不能找到确切接法吧

以上翻译如有不当,请大家指出,一起完善。

估计需要接到电气地,而不是脚下的地,呵呵

他家的论文太难看. 从威虹处摘录如下:

在Wetslake的聆聽室裡面,Glenn直接選了規模龐大的貝多芬第九號交響曲播放,在吸音良好的空間中,四路分音的Westlake系統重現出壯闊的氣勢,播放一小段音樂後,Glenn把音樂停下來,然後拿了一小塊沾濕的海綿,請我把兩手沾上水分,兩手再握至螺絲起子的金屬部分這兩只螺絲起子另外拉線接地到Apogee D/A的接地端,請我再聽一次同樣的曲子。

根据以上判断: 在WESTLAKE的演示环境中, 由人体构成的P.E 网是连接到 Apogee D/A的接地端的. 所以在真实的使用中, 也连接到电气地(功放机箱)应该是可以的。

以LC3W12VNF为例,准备做以下实验:高中部份的PE地与低音部份的PE地是分开的(低音PE与面罩相连),用两条导线,在一头做成Y插,另一头做成鱼尾夹方便接机壳, 就成了一根PE专用线(注意原厂的PE线也才16股,所以不必用好线). 分别接LF、HF输入试试。这需要些时间,请耐心等待测试结果。

当然,因以上办法相当简单,有兴趣的烧友可以自己试试。

2根3米 Y对Y;
2根3米 Y对香蕉;
2根3米 Y对鱼尾夹;
快的话今天可以拿到,拿到后明天看能不能安排测试。
吴兄直接把香蕉插往电源插座地线插,这种方法千万要注意安全。严重不建议使用。

订做的PE线

全部做好了,个人感觉应该是鱼尾的最好用,但可能会伤到机器表面,所以要小心寻找可以夹住的地方。
正好明天有客人预约试听,就做个测试,结果随后上。

P.E 接法请耐心等待

尽管我已经做了测试,也有了初步结果, 但此事不能就这样下结论,我已经发信给厂家,让他们给出合理建议, 待有结果后一并公布.

P.E 失真是西湖主推的技术,我想也不会是儿戏. 请大家多讨论.

nagra 接地端测量结果

NAGRA金字塔功放的接地端口,与电源地线/外壳镙丝/XLR/RAC地线相通!
NORDOST 插排也提供了一个类似的接地端口,同样也有香蕉输出,经测量地电源地相通!
P.E的接法我仍然没法肯定,刚才查了BOULDER 2060的手册,里面也没有说法. 看来只有等厂家的答案了.

P.E地的有关资料

At the rear of the unit is a 3 position terminal strip which provides  electrical access to the chassis (center terminal) and left and right audio grounds respectively. Lowest noise (mainly hum) may be achieved  with the chassis connection open or connected to the system audio ground, or lacking this, to the left or right, or both left and right terminals. Some experimentation may be required to find the combination most suitable  to a particular installation. Many high quality power amplifiers (or pre-amps) provide user selectable connection from chassis to audio common. It is usually best to start by opening the audio to chassis links on all equipment  and listen to the hum and noise present in the output of the speaker system.

大意是许多优秀的高素质功放都提供"共地"接口(我认为与NAGRA相似),用来与音箱相连. 断开/连接可以听到系统哼声的区别.

P.E的官方答复

Glenn has given me information to hopefully answer your question.  The short answer is:  Yes, to the amp chassis, close to the output terminals unless there is a dedicated audio ground or "P.E." jack.  
We hope to eventually solicit "P.E." licensees to provide dedicated P.E. terminals on the equipment, but that time is not at hand just yet.  Although the P.E. signal can be drained through the ground or chassis connection, what we are really looking to do is provide a safe return to the amplifier' power circuitry which may or may not be the amp ground or chassis.  If the amplifier output terminals have one terminal connected to ground or chassis (our old style Boulder amps are this way) then the P.E. connection can be just piggy-backed on to the (-) terminal.  This is how we demo'ed the system we had at CES 2011 in Las Vegas.  If, however, you are using an amplifier that has both (+) and (-) terminals actively driven, then connecting the P.E. wire/jack to the amp audio ground or chassis is the way to go.
By the way, if your customer neglects to connect the P.E. jack at all, he will still be getting much of the benefit due to a circuit we include in the speaker that we refer to as the "safety virtual P.E. Bus".  This is a version of our "Virtual P.E. Bus" we developed for the smaller speakers where limited space precludes the use of a 3rd terminal.  We drain the rogue P.E. electrons out through the 2 signal conductors.  Not quite as effective as a "real P.E. Bus" and dedicated connection, but unless you have a very good listening environment, I doubt you can detect the difference on most program material.
The Lc4.75, Lc24.75, Lc265.1, Lc5.75 and Lc6.75 use a virtual P.E. bus technology and thus have no physical jack on the back.  Some earlier production units of other models used a modified version of the virtual PE Bus, and thus may not have a dedicated jack.
