It's a good budget system of great midband. With the help of subwoofer, it digs up quite amount of bass.
However, without careful calibration, subwoofer sometimes may produce baggy bass and disturbs the overall sound balance.

I partnered my ARCAM FMJ A32 and ELAC 205 Jet also with an active subwoofer before my current configuration. After I tried for many times to adjust the input level and cut-off frequency, I finally gave up the bookshelf-sub idea because I could never bridge the gap between them.
Then came my current configuration. I bought a pair of well-tuned floorstanding loudspeakers. The bi-amp significantly improve the bass performance. Although it does not dig as deep as subwoofers, but is more tight and well-controled.
Therefore, I strongly recommend to upgrade, when budge allows, to floorstanding.

That is why I buy MJ accountics R100 subwoofer: it is a well controled subwoofer.
You can not hear anything if the music does not have deep bass in it.
I also listened to the
ROTEL RCD-02
Roksan Caspian
NAD 12L
combination.
It does not show much differences.But Roksan amplifier is better than ROTEL for sure.

It is my 1st HI-FI system.
Every time when I start to listen to it, I just can not stop for hours.

MJ R100 subwoofer is What HiFi 2003 subwoofer of ther year,and is more expensive than QUAD 11L.
This makes the integration acceptable.
