Not quite agree.
The first one you mention is the amplitute issue. That means the frequency
response is not ruler flat, and this is not linear distortion.
The second comment is harmonic distortion because when there is only
1K Hz fq input, but following with 2K,3K and 4K Hz output that shouldn't
exist.
When we say linear distortion, means,
1. When we inject a pure sine wave into the speaker, the sine wave show
unbalance on positive and negative half cycle. or
2. The speaker cone, when push and pull inward and outward, the cone,
if under big power drive to it's extreme, then the speaker would
becomes non-linear and we may call it linear distortion.
