Framingham, MA -- The Bose Corporation, maker of loudspeakers and related equipment for the home and automotive markets, announced today that it has purchased several other audio equipment manufacturers. Companies which will become part of the Bose Group include Danish speaker builder Dynaudio, UK hi-fi legend Linn, and Wilson Audio, a US builder of high-end speakers.
"We are please to announce these acquisitions," said Bose chairman Amar Bose, "and we intend to work with them to bring the 'Bose Sound' to their respective product lines. We are excited about the prospect of bringing these already-fine brands up to our standards. By next year this time, we expect that Dynaudio speakers will be as good as our own."
