The arrangements sound full and fleshed-out throughout; it's frequently easy to forget the songs were recorded live until the audience members chime in at the end. The string-heavy, soulful take on the Beatles' "Long Long Long" is exceptional, while "Kundalini Slide" is a barn-burner worthy of Neil Young. Yay. [/size]

[/size][size=5][color=gray]Daft Punk的出现一切都要感谢英国音乐杂誌Melody Maker的功劳，要不是他们将Guy-Manual de Homem Christo与Thomas Bangalter这个来自法国巴黎DJ双人组的前身Darlin’所做的Indie rock音乐评为“a bunch of daft punk”，我们也不会有这么一组有著欢乐节奏、复古与前卫兼容并蓄的音乐奇葩，所以“有时候”bad reviews并不一定是一件坏事，反而是一种转变的契机。

1993年成立的Daft Punk，当首张专辑Homework推出时，Daft Punk他们那融合，或者应该说是打破Techno, House, Acid House以及Electro分野的乐风，引起欧陆跳舞圈子相当大的迴响，与Air并列为是法国引领世界电子音乐潮流的重要团体。

在Discovery这张专辑的筹备时，一次的录音室意外彻底改变了Daft Punk，这两个首脑人物宣称在1999年9月9日早上的9点9分，当他们在为新专辑的歌曲取样(sampling)时，录音室发生了大爆炸，等到他们清醒过来时，他们已经变成了半人半机器的robots，从此以后，Daft Punk就像是星际大战的黑武士一样，永远带著头盔面对这个世界。
