平查斯•祖克曼是这个时代小提琴的象征。他的音乐造诣和演奏技巧一直为评论家和观众赞叹不已，他在小提琴高音弦上的演奏极富穿透力，而在低音弦上的演奏则充满了甜美和荡气回肠。
平查斯•祖克曼不但是杰出的小提琴演奏家，他还是一名成功的中提琴演奏家、指挥、教师和室内乐音乐家，由他成立的祖克曼室内乐演奏团享誉国际音乐界。由于对音乐艺术的杰出贡献，祖克曼获得了美国前总统里根授予的艺术奖章和两座格莱美奖杯。
本场音乐会，祖克曼将首次在音乐会上实现与中国本土音乐家同台合作的计划，其中包括青年钢琴家江晨和中提琴家张立国。青年演奏家王之炅也会在音乐会演奏弗郎克的A大调小提琴奏鸣曲，拉开音乐会的序幕。此外，祖克曼还会与妻子大提琴家阿曼达•霍茜同台献艺。
Pinchas Zukerman has been recognized as a phenomenon for nearly four decades. His musical genius and prodigious technique have long been a marvel to critics and audiences. Equally respected as a violinist, violist, conductor, pedagogue and chamber musician, Pinchas Zukerman is indeed a master of our time.
Zukerman formed the Zukerman ChamberPlayers, their performance won lots of praise. Since his devotion to the musical world, Pinchas Zukerman owned lots of prize, including the Medal of Arts awarded by President Reagan, and the 2 Grammy awards.
In this concert, Zukerman will cooperate with Chinese local youthful musician for the first time, pianist Jiang Chen and Chinese violist Li-Kuo Chang can play with Zukerman on the same stage. Violist Wang Zhijiong can play at the beginning of the concert. Besides, his wife Amanda Forsyth, who is a distinguished cellist, will also perform with Zukerman for 3 pieces.
