"4月19号,下班后有点累,我有点迷糊.
我当时在北加州生产葡萄酒的县,当时路路上没有一辆车,...
我决定看看我的车能开多快,一脚油门下去到底速度到了165英里(265公里转速6000多转),然后发动机转速降到了5100转做了一下调整,然后在268英里(270公里)又开始加速了,..
这时候我突然瞥见了一个标志,我对这路知道一点,前方有个20英里限速的45度转弯...我知道一英里内有这个转弯,太糟了其实只有400米左右
当我冲到转弯处时速度为110英里(177公里),我不能向左或右因为有围栏和电线杆,我对自己说只有冲下地了.路面前1米左右就是一个灌溉水沟,我车的鼻子与灌溉水沟侧岸撞了个正着,车子腾空而起向前飞行了40多米.陆地后又翻了两翻.
感想上帝.我能爬出来用手机给老婆打了电话...
毫无疑问车的质量救了我一命.4天后我去看了报废的车,驾驶员和乘客区毫无损伤,安全带和气馕区的结构完好无损,...
昨天我去打了几杆GOLF球放松一下,保险公司给我赔了车,两周后我将有另一辆黑色的SRT-8..

The bottom line is they built this car knowing it can go fast very fast and with that the safety features implemented in the design are dead on. Thank you Daimler Chrysler for making a great car.

I felt compelled post on the forum about my almost life ending experience and how this car saved me from my bad judgment.

On April 19th 2:30 am I totaled my SRT-8 out. I was coming off some very long hours of work and had little sleep if any totally sober but clouded judgment. I was traveling in the country here in northern California actually in the wine country with out a single car or anything around. I was anxious to get home and decided to actually see what my car could do.

I hit it and at around 165mph it did a throttle over rev and readjusted at around 5100 rpms and was taking off at 168mph I started shut down because I glimpsed a sign and knowing the road a little, knew there was a turn coming up with in a mile. My bad more like a ¼ mile. There it was a 20 mph 45 degree turn. I was traveling about 110 mph when I locked her up. I could not go left or right because of fences and telephone poles. So I said to myself I am going strait into the field. Well about 2 feet into the field was an irrigation ditch. I hit that head on with the front of the car **** that hurt. Nose over end airborne about 45 yards on to the top passenger’s side and rolled twice landing on my roof.

I was able to get out thank God I had my cell phone in my pocket to call my wife and I had a dial tone because it was black for miles and I my bell was rung really good or I would be there until morning time. Needless to say I ended up with fractured L1 and L3 vertebrae and a sore collar bone.

There is no doubt that the quality of this car saved my dumb ass. Four days later I went to look at the car and the entire driver and passenger side was totally intact. The air bags safety belts and the structure worked to perfection as far as I am concerned because here I am alive to talk about it.

Yesterday I played 6 holes of golf just to stretch my back a little and I am feeling back to normal.

Insurance replaced my car I picked up 2 weeks ago another Black SRT-8 Fully loaded and been intergrading my salvageable mods from my other one. That’s a story in itself. Insurance company turned me loose on my car. 

The bottom line is they built this car knowing it can go fast very fast and with that the safety features implemented in the design are dead on. Thank you Daimler Chrysler for making a great car.
I will be going on my first trip since the accident with my NorCal LX group on June 17th to Monterey.

To all please be safe and drive with good judgment I humble myself in writing this but I wanted to let you know first hand how good this car is built. Trust me do not find out for yourself.

是转贴,不过我一直关注300C,更坚定了买300C的信心.
现在碰撞测试已经说明不了什么了. 就如同考试,同样100分,小型车与大型车能一样吗?日本车能跟欧美车一样吗?
日本车在70公里(美国政府的测试速度)是满分,80公里可能就要残疾,90公里就有重伤残了, 100公里就有生命危险了,110公里就要粉身碎骨了. 而欧美车,70公里是100分,100公里碰撞可能还是90分.

日本垃圾车在这样情况下早粉身碎骨了.300C连A柱都没有变型,车门完全能打开.车轮也没有内侵入乘员仓.

SRT-8有300C SRT-8,DODGE CHARGER SRT-8,DODGE MAGNUM SRT-8. 8代表作缸的意思.
300C SRT-8 采用6.1L HEMI V8 425马力,其实实际测得有380轮马力,对应的实际发动机至少有450马力,425是为了纪念CHRYSLER 60年代著名的
HEMI 426发动机,那款发动机是让CHRYSLER在DATANA大赛上统治前1,2,3名的赛车发动机的民用版,只标425马力其实少加改装有500马力潜力.
除了发动机外,与普通300C不同还有改进的ESP程序准许更大的自由度,,运动悬挂,运动转向,BREMBO的4活塞刹车系统,20寸煅早合金轮,运动型座椅等.
